Decorate a traditional "botijo" with a master ceramist

Discover Andalusian craftsmanship and explore the history of the botijo, a traditional clay vessel made to cool water that is integral to Spain’s dry, sun-drenched climate. We’ll work together at my artisan workshop for a hands-on ceramic painting experience. • I’ll explain the botijo’s evolution from utilitarian object to cultural icon, its significance in Spanish households, and its artistic legacy in works by Goya and Velázquez. • Learn the UNESCO-recognized lime painting technique from Morón de la Frontera, which has protected the botijo’s cooling function for centuries. • Let’s paint! Using traditional pigments and techniques, personalize your own botijo, following Andalusian patterns or creating your own unique design. I’ll offer guidance and tips throughout. You’ll leave with a fully functional, handpainted botijo as a unique souvenir from your adventure in Seville—and a connection to the city’s artisanal heritage.

4. Fotos incluidas en el precio
