Our tour is ideal for everyone who wants to get to know Madrid in a short time but in a relaxed way. Conducted in English. Private tours in English, Dutch, Spanish, French if available and Portuguese if available. In about 3 hours and 11 km biking, you will more or less see and hear everything of the old center while riding a very comfortable bicycle. The “must see” places as well as the hidden corners away from the typical touristic paths. We will ride mainly on cycling paths, pedestrian zones and parks. Of course there will be various stops to take pictures. When we stop, we will tell you about the stories behind what you see and tell our personal experiences of our time in Madrid. After the tour you have an idea which places you want to visit in your own time and in which restaurants and tapas bars you want to have your meal. Durante nuestro taller los invitados van a encintar sus propias alpargatas catalanas, una actividad típica de la zona, con mucha tradición. Al finalizar se las llevan como el mejor souvenir de su visita a la ciudad condal. El punto de encuentro será en el taller directamente, donde los invitados estarán rodeados de productos terminados y materiales, todo un mundo de tradición. Nuestros artesanos estarán con los invitados durante todo el taller, liderando y suministrando todos los materiales y herramientas. Primero les vamos a dar una introducción al mundo de las espardeñas, su origen y su magnifica historia durante los últimos 900 años. Aprenderán esta bella tradición de Cataluña, y de cómo pasaron de ser el zapato de trabajo de la gente pobre de la zona, a ser una moda internacional de lujo. A continuación cada uno de los invitados elegirá el color y la talla de la base sobre la que trabajará, los lazos y los hilos, y procederemos a encintar las espardeñas bajo las instrucciones del artesano. Una vez terminadas, aprenderemos las 6 maneras de atarlas al tobillo y la historia de cada una. Es divertido, no muy complicado y cada visitante sale con su par de espardeñas puestas. They will be 6 bite "Basque tapas" that will include local ingredients as fish, pork, cheese, eggs, dairy products and vegetables. LisboaLove Fado is the ultimate event to live and feel Portuguese Lisboa's traditional genre. Starting at 5PM on Friday’s and Tuesday's. I'll share some of our traditions and culture and a brief introduction to the history of Fado, to set the mood for our evening. The LisboaLove Fado takes place on an exclusive venue: my apartment! Please notice that pictures include also previous venues. It's a personal full experience only for the guests who book it, not joining a Fado Restaurant with others. For context I'll summarize the history of Fado. This will be followed by a 40-minute tribute performance to Amalia Rodrigues, Portugal’s most famous and well-loved Fado singer. I will add some commentary during the concert to resume the lyrics being performed. Since it is afternoon you may have walked a lot in our hilly city already, so we'll serve a snack of traditional petiscos. There's no Fado without some wine and olives too. But don't worry - I'm not singing :) A highly talented and recording Fado singer and musicians are performing for you!

Our team at Essential Flamenco will welcome you inside. You will be offered a drink at the tablao bar, and later you will visit an +100 year old original brick cave. Continuaremos nuestro recorrido hacia el segundo destino, que será la ciudad de Segovia, patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO. Al llegar conoceremos el acueducto romano mejor preservado del mundo, subiremos hasta su parte mas alta e iremos a explorar una de las fortalezas medievales mas importantes de España, el majestuoso Alcázar.
