Really interesting private collection housed in a museum built and operated by one enthusiastic couple (who you may meet at the front desk). The husband, having collected thousands of Civil War artifacts since his youth, has realized his dream of sharing his collection with the public.

The New Market Battlefield Military Museum is situated on Manor's Hill, adjacent to Historic River Road. Found northwest of New Market, the farm rises in elevation as it stretches west to the Shenandoah River and beyond.
