Why not spend a while exploring tranquil Annaghdown, with its majestic monastic ruins dating back to the 7th century (associated with Brendan the Navigator who discovered America), great fishing (boats can be hired) and swimming from the pier, when the weather permits, against the backdrop of Annaghdown Castle (private) dating from the 15th century.
