Steps from our place.... You can visit the Church. It is connected to the palace building, which is near it on the eastern side, by a passage. The plan is a Latin cross, with a nave with three sections, arms of the transept and chancel, covered by a half-barrel vault with lunettes. The transept has a gallon dome with eight lunettes that rest on pendentives, on which there are plasterwork with angels and garlands. The vaults rest on an entablature of Tuscan pilasters. The façade of the feet is brick, on a stone plinth. It is structured with a prominent central body flanked by pairs of pilasters, among which is the doorway with a semicircular arch with the coat of arms of the Counts of Plasencia and a venerated niche with the image of the Virgen del Pilar. The central street of the gable crowns a triangular pediment. The tower is also located at the foot, on the gospel side. It presents a single body of very recent bells. The cornice of the rest of the church is made up of three rows of brick cantilevered to form studs. The dome of the transept is covered by an octagonal dome with panels framed by pilasters.
