There are amazing views here but you have to walk down the steps to get to them. This is a tranquil spot of history where the Native Americans once visited to drink from the springs.

There are amazing views here but you have to walk down the steps to get to them. This is a tranquil spot of history where the Native Americans once visited to drink from the springs.
This is a great spot for fall colors as well as spectacular views any time of year. There are steps to the bottom, trails to the viewing decks at the top of the hills (wheel chair accessible), and hiking trails. You will also find a couple hundred foot sand hill that leads to the water at the bottom.

There are steps to the bottom, trails to the viewing decks at the top of the hills (wheel chair accessible), and hiking trails. You will also find a couple hundred foot sand hill that leads to the water at the bottom.
Here you can take a 2 hour trip on a Mississippi river boat on the mighty Au Sable river. This is another great place to see the fall colors or just a relaxing trip. The boat serves snacks, beverages, and alcohol.

The trail runs along the banks of the AuSable River in the Huron National Forest, through mixed hardwoods and pines. The trail consists of 11 miles of groomed loops of varying lengths and difficulty during the snow season. Trails are 13 feet wide and double packed. Ample parking is available.

This is the best place to rent your canoe, kayak, or tube from. They are the furthest rental place up river....Trust me, the paddling toward the end of your trip is difficult and these guys are a welcome site on the river....we have rented from them for over 20 years
